Basketball Recap: Cotter Comes Up Short

Cotter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake City Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Ramblers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Tigers are ranked 26th).

Cotter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lake City, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Cotter will be playing in front of their home fans against Dover-Eyota at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Dover-Eyota is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season. As for Lake City, they will venture away from home to take on Maranatha Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
