After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodland Park, South Park was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Trinidad Miners. The victory was some much needed relief for the Burros as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.

South Park walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Aubri Charles and Angelina Springer, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Annie Johns and her 13 assists. Cali Fogelsonger controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

South Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Trinidad, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

South Park and Trinidad could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Burros will take on Monte Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (290 vs. 127). Meanwhile, Trinidad (ranked 267th) will meet Raton (ranked 60th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
