Softball Recap: Immokalee Takes a Loss

Immokalee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the East Ridge Knights.

Immokalee got a good showing from Andraa Guzman, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs Guzman has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Immokalee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yasmin Herrera, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Immokalee's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for East Ridge, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Immokalee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Stoneman Douglas on the 11th. As for East Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Windermere on the 14th.
