Recap: Alvin Yellowjackets vs. Shadow Creek Sharks
The Alvin Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Shadow Creek, falling 78-21. Alvin has not had much luck with Shadow Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Jacob Cao was Alvin's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Dartagnan Fletcher held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
Michael Collins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Shadow Creek, going 6 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 3 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Collins has scored at least a third of Shadow Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Tate, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Alvin has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Shadow Creek, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.
Alvin will be playing in front of their home fans against Alief Elsik at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alief Elsik is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Shadow Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Dawson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dawson will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
