Softball Preview: Bozeman Bucks vs. Freeport Bulldogs

Bozeman is 7-2 against Freeport since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Bozeman Bucks will head out on the road to take on the Freeport Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Bozeman is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.

Bozeman is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Wednesday, just like they did against Chipley (and have done all season long). Bozeman put the hurt on Chipley with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday.

Hayley Deegins tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Bozeman got a massive performance out of Addison John, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlee McLean, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Freeport was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They fell 6-2 to Crestview.

Freeport saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Valkenaar, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Bozeman's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Freeport, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
