With a playoff win on the line, Hayden rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Corner Yellow Jackets 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Addison McCuistion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Jordan Plan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Halie Pavolini, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hayden hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.

Hayden's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-17. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Corner, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-23-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Hayden nor Corner have any future games scheduled.
