With a playoff win on the line, Hayden rose to the challenge  on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Corner Yellow Jackets  4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 Addison McCuistion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
 At the plate,  Jordan Plan was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Halie Pavolini, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Hayden  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters  in four consecutive  matches.
Hayden's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 30-17. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Corner, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-23-1 record  this season.
As of now, neither Hayden nor Corner have any future games scheduled.
