Volleyball Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Boylan Catholic Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12.

Maddux Teresi paced Freeport's offense, picking up two kills. Teresi got some help from Bryce Mcdanel and his five assists.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Boylan Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Freeport is set to face off against their familiar foe Belvidere North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic will square off against rival Rockford East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
