Basketball Recap: Oakwood Academy Takes Down Woodville in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oakwood Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Woodville Panthers by a score of 52-42 on Saturday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-44 back in December of 2024.

Charity Jarman was a one-woman wrecking crew for Oakwood Academy as she almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. Jarman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Bruklyn Dublin was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Oakwood Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Woodville, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-16 record.

As of now, neither Oakwood Academy nor Woodville have any future games scheduled.
