Softball Recap: Ware Shoals Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ware Shoals barely beat Abbeville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-2 win on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Stella Eichhorn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Paisley Pelfrey, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Manly, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Ware Shoals pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Abbeville, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

As of now, neither Ware Shoals nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
