Football Recap: Dwyer Takes a Loss

Dwyer extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Monday, dropping them down to 0-8. They took a blow against the Palm Beach Gardens Gators, falling 41-0. The Panthers lost against the Gators in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-13 score last time.

As for Palm Beach Gardens, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jordan Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 249 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 157.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Nomo Davis did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 60 receiving yards.

Dwyer has already played their next matchup, a 14-8 defeat against Seminole Ridge on the 17th. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-14 victory against Royal Palm Beach on the 17th.
