Volleyball Recap: Montini Catholic Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Broncos on Friday. Montini Catholic took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Branch. Montini Catholic's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Francesca Lorenzo paced Montini Catholic's offense, picking up seven kills. Lorenzo got some help from Avalyn DeKeyser and her 11 assists. Finally, DeKeyser was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Montini Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for North Branch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-6.

Coincidentally, Montini Catholic and North Branch will both be playing Divine Savior Holy Angels the next time they take the court. Montini Catholic will head out to face Divine Savior Holy Angels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while North Branch will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
