Baseball Recap: North Catholic Takes a Loss

Central Valley hit North Catholic with a six-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans fell 8-5 to the Warriors. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Adam Mashuda was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Owen Beatrice also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

North Catholic dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Central Valley, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Coming up, North Catholic will be playing at home against Armstrong at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Montour at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
