Alamosa hadn't done well against Lamar recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mean Moose skirted past the Thunder 11-9. For the Mean Moose, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Thunder walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Alamosa got a big performance out of Carlos Garcia, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, Garcia posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonah Pittman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Alamosa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Alamosa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Lamar, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.
