Softball Recap: Merced Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Merced entered their tilt with Patterson on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Patterson Tigers.

Lillian Gallegos was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season. Bree Pimentel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Merced's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-2. As for Patterson, they now have a losing record of 1-2-2.

Coming up, Merced will head out on the road to face off against Oakdale at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Patterson, they have already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Sonora on the 22nd.
