Softball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the St. Francis Fighting Saints. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Fighting Saints when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Francis, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Branch is set to square off against their familiar foe Chisago Lakes Area at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Francis will challenge rival Cambridge-Isanti at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
