Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Legacy

The Roosevelt Rough Riders will venture away from home to square off against the Legacy Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Roosevelt fell victim to South Gate and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 731st, while the Rams are ranked 260th).

Meanwhile, Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of South East. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one goal.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-4. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-2.
