Plainfield North and Joliet West are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. Plainfield North is taking a road trip to take on Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Plainfield North's tournament run continued when they took on Prairie Ridge on Wednesday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Wolves. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Joliet West faced Lockport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Porters 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Joliet West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Joliet West's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Plainfield North, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
