Softball Recap: Seton Lasalle Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Seton LaSalle waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Chargers back in April, they had to take a 11-4 defeat.

Gianna Ferrieri made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. Ferrieri was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kayla Pulkowski, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Kamyia Morris was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Seton LaSalle lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Seton LaSalle pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Seton LaSalle nor Our Lady of the Sacred Heart have any future games scheduled.
