Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Truckee). They blew past the Dayton Dust Devils 42-6 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Dust Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Truckee to victory, but perhaps none more so than C.J. Smith, who rushed for 203 yards on only 14 carries. Another rusher making a difference was Seth Molt, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Truckee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 452 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Dayton still got an impressive performance from Duke Evans, who rushed for 202 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Evans was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.

Truckee's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Dayton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Truckee has already played their next contest, a 38-29 loss against Fernley on the 27th. As for Dayton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-2 win against Sparks on the 26th.
