It was a good run, but Mineral Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Chippewa Chipps by a score of 2-1. Alfred Channell was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Mineral Ridge's goal came courtesy of Andrew Gillie, who's now up to four this season.

Mineral Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-2. As for Chippewa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10-1.

Mineral Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chippewa, they are taking a road trip to face off against Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chippewa's defense better be ready for this one: Newton Falls have averaged an impressive 4.3 goals per game this season.
