After a string of three wins, Mineral Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Chippewa Chipps by a score of 2-1. Alfred Channell was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Mineral Ridge's goal came courtesy of Andrew Gillie, who's now up to four this season.

Mineral Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-2. As for Chippewa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10-1.

Mineral Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chippewa, they have already played their next match, an 8-2 win against Newton Falls on the 23rd.
