Millard North's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lincoln North Star Navigators by a score of  3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2018.
 Millard North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-23,  25-20.
 Millard North had a senior duo take command as  Marley Tracy  had seven  digs and three  aces and  Hayden Sliva  had 14  digs and two assists. Those three  aces set a new season-high mark for  Tracy.
 Despite the  loss, Lincoln North Star saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Marie Paneitz  had eight  digs and three  aces. Paneitz has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  aces the last four times she's  played.
Millard North's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Lincoln North Star, they moved to 23-4 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Millard North will  take on  rival Millard West  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Lincoln Southeast  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
