Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

St. Thomas More couldn't beat Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Sabers fell 8-4 to the Knights.

St. Teresa couldn't beat Casey-Westfield on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Bulldogs took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for St. Thomas More, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

St. Thomas More beat St. Teresa 9-4 when the teams last played last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
