Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Hudson

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hudson had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Brunswick Blue Devils. Winning may never get old, but the Explorers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hudson took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-12.

Hudson found their leader in sophomore Jackson Battaglia, who had seven digs, three aces, and one block. Battaglia is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.

Hudson pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Brunswick, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.

Hudson will face off against St. Edward at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Explorers surely won't give up without a fight. Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
