Baseball Recap: Quitman Takes a Loss

Quitman fell victim to Northeast Jones and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Tigers. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Quitman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Peters, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Peters has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Northeast Jones, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6-1.

While Quitman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
