Soccer Game Preview: Revere vs. Westlake

The Revere Minutemen will head out to face off against the Westlake Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Revere's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past South 3-0. Given Revere's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while South are ranked 351st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westlake had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Colts as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The result kept Westlake happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 1st.

The win made it two in a row for Revere and bumps their season record up to 10-5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two matches. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 11-3-4.

Revere took their victory against Westlake in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2 score. Will the Minutemen repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
