Animo Bunche lost against USC-MAE back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Animo Bunche Stallions took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the USC-MAE Trojans. The Stallions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

USC-MAE's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrion Gilbert led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. Gilbert's afternoon made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Johnson, who posted eight points along with 16 rebounds and four steals.

Animo Bunche's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for USC-MAE, their record now sits at 4-8.

Animo Bunche will square off against Orthopaedic at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orthopaedic will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Animo Bunche surely won't give up without a fight. As for USC-MAE, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-49 win against Central City Value on the 3rd.
