Volleyball Recap: Norwell Takes a Loss

If Norwell was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bluffton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Norwell took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Noble on Tuesday. Norwell has struggled against East Noble recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Macie Saalfrank paced Norwell's offense, picking up 13 kills. Saalfrank got some help from Emma Vachon and her 38 assists. Aubryn Keller controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

East Noble was led to victory by Kylie Walz and Alyssa Desper. Walz had 21 digs and two assists, while Desper had five digs and two aces. Walz is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 25 games she's played.

Norwell's loss dropped their record down to 25-5. As for East Noble, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-9.

Norwell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Huntington North on the 9th. As for East Noble, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against New Haven on the 9th.
