Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Charlotte Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cannon Cougars on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

While Charlotte Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Cannon scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Charlotte Christian had a senior duo take command as Holden Gore had 15 digs and eight aces and Bella Eudy had 17 assists and four digs. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for Gore.

Charlotte Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cannon only served eight aces.

Despite the loss, Cannon still got an impressive performance from Victoria Marion, who had 15 digs and four aces.

Charlotte Christian's record is now 7-3. As for Cannon, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Charlotte Christian will welcome Davidson Day at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cannon, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Covenant Day on the 29th.
