Basketball Recap: Warren County Takes a Loss

Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lake Oconee Academy Titans, falling 64-27. The Screaming Devils were down 55-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Warren County lost, don't look at Ja'Keria Few. Despite the final result, she posted ten points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Few a new career-high in field goal percentage (80%). Ta'Angel Lowe was another key player, putting up three points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Warren County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Lake Oconee Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

As of now, neither Warren County nor Lake Oconee Academy have any future games scheduled.
