Basketball Recap: Fort Plain Comes Up Short

Fort Plain lost against Schoharie back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fort Plain Hilltoppers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Schoharie Storm. The Hilltoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Plain lost, don't look at Dylan Keane. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. Fort Plain is 2-1 when Keane posts 25 or more points, but 7-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon VanGorder, who put up eight points.

Fort Plain's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Schoharie, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Fort Plain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-36 loss against Canajoharie on the 12th. Schoharie has also already played their next contest (against Northville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
