Basketball Recap: Clay County Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Clay County hadn't done well against North Laurel recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Clay County Tigers walked away with a 70-63 victory over the North Laurel Jaguars. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Clay County pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for North Laurel, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
