Pascagoula is a perfect 6-0 against Long Beach since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will face off against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Pascagoula and three for Long Beach.

Pascagoula came into this matchup off a tough 40-point defeat back in September. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Picayune by a score of 38-36 on Friday. The Panthers gained 96 more yards on the day, but it was the Maroon Tide that made the best use of them.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Amarie Jackson, who rushed for 157 yards on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Sean Norvel, who rushed for 106 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Long Beach lost 28-6 to Gautier on Friday. The game marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Long Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pascagoula, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Pascagoula against Long Beach in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 50-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
