Volleyball Recap: West Pioneers vs. Salina Central Mustangs

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Salina Central Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11.

Salina Central was led to victory by Rhian Shrole and Elizabeth Howard. Shrole had three aces, while Howard had two aces and 12 assists. That's the most aces Howard has posted in her last six games.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Salina Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-18.

West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Great Bend on the 5th. As for Salina Central, they will face off against Andover at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
