Basketball Game Preview: Blue Earth Buccaneers vs. Redwood Valley Cardinals

Blue Earth is 0-4 against Redwood Valley since December of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Blue Earth Buccaneers are taking a road trip to face off against the Redwood Valley Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Blue Earth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 90-86 to Belle Plaine. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Tigers are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Redwood Valley came up short against Jackson County Central on Friday and fell 96-83. The Cardinals have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Blue Earth's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Redwood Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Blue Earth might still be hurting after the 77-54 defeat they got from Redwood Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Blue Earth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
