Basketball Recap: Rifle Wins Going Away Against Middle Park

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coal Ridge, Rifle was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Middle Park Panthers with a sharp 61-36 victory.

John Langstaff continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 58.3% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Adan Medina, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine steals.

Rifle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

The win got Rifle back to even at 2-2. As for Middle Park, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Rifle will host North Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Middle Park, they will venture away from home to face off against University at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
