Volleyball Recap: Archie Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Archie had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Leeton Bulldogs as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Saturday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Archie took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-8, 25-7.

Archie was led to victory by Madison Wilson and Reagan Tenholder. Wilson had 17 assists and two aces, while Tenholder hit 87.5% for 14 kills and nine aces and three digs. Tenholder has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 42 times she's played. Eliza Macrander also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Archie was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Archie's record is now 25-4-1. As for Leeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

As of now, neither Archie nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
