Basketball Recap: Puckett Skates Past Mississippi School for the Deaf with Ease

Puckett posted their biggest victory since November 21st on Monday. They breezed by the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs to the tune of 74-33. The Wolves pushed the score to 64-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Mississippi School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Thomas, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Learvious Hill, who put up ten points.

The win got Puckett back to even at 7-7. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Puckett will take on Raleigh in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Puckett is facing Raleigh at the right time seeing as Raleigh is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
