Basketball Game Preview: Inman Inman Teutons vs. Cimarron Bluejays

The Inman Inman Teutons will be taking part in a tournament against the Cimarron Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Inman and six for Cimarron.

Inman's tournament run continued when they took on St. John on Tuesday. Inman fell 45-33 to St. John. While losing is never fun, the Inman Teutons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Tigers are ranked 135th).

Meanwhile, Cimarron came up short against Macksville on Monday and fell 64-57. While the Bluejays didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 18-6 in the first quarter.

Inman will need focus on slowing down Cade Sonday, one of several Cimarron players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Trace Kopper, who posted 14 points and seven assists.

Even though they lost, Cimarron was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Inman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cimarron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
