It was a good run, but Kentwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 30-20 to the Curtis Vikings. The Conquerors lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in November of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-29 score last time.

Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darian Williams, who picked up 125 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 36 yards and one touchdown. Trevon Mayfield also helped out with an impressive 124 receiving yards.

Kentwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Curtis, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-3.

As of now, neither Kentwood nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
