Baseball Recap: White Knoll Finds Playoff Glory Versus St. James

With a playoff win on the line, White Knoll rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the St. James Sharks by a score of 11-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

The team relied heavily on Jeremy Powell, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. White Knoll is 2-1 when Powell posts two or more runs, but 4-19 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Bennett, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one double.

White Knoll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April.

White Knoll picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-20. As for St. James, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-14.

White Knoll will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Sharks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
