Southeast Bulloch hadn't done well against Islands recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets won by a set and slipped past the Sharks 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Yellow Jackets: when they faced off against the Sharks back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Southeast Bulloch had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 18-16.

Aubrey Williams paced Southeast Bulloch's offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Allie Crabb and her 15 assists. Crabb was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Southeast Bulloch is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. As for Islands, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.

Coincidentally, Southeast Bulloch and Islands will both be playing Liberty County the next time they take the court. The Sharks will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellow Jackets will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
