Baseball Recap: Chapman Victorious

Chapman's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Council Grove Braves. The win continues a trend for the Irish in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won six in a row.

Aven Woods was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Chapman's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

Chapman's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Council Grove, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Chapman will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Braves: the pair will be back at it again later today.
