Basketball Recap: St. James Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. James, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights on Monday, sneaking past 59-56. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

St. James' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. James will venture away from home to square off against New Ulm at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in New Ulm's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches. As for Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, they will head out to challenge Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Minnesota Valley Lutheran likes a good challenge.
