Softball Recap: St. Joseph Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against Man

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Joseph Central). Everything went their way against the Man Hillbillies on Friday as they made off with a 22-6 victory. Considering the Irish have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklyn Anderson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mady Woefel, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

St. Joseph Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

St. Joseph Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Man, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
