Standley Lake and Evergreen are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The Gators will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Standley Lake will be strutting in after a win while Evergreen will be coming in after a loss.

The Gators came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lobos on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gators have posted since September 28, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-95) Standley Lake actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 11-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Green Mountain.

Standley Lake is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Evergreen, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
