Soccer Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lyons can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hinsdale Central Red Devils by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hinsdale Central this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

Lyons' goal came courtesy of Carolina Capizzi, who's now up to eight this season.

Lyons' loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Hinsdale Central, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hinsdale Central, they will challenge York at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hinsdale Central surely won't give up without a fight.
