Hammond Morton kept up with Boone Grove until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. Wolves never let the Governors get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Boone Grove, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Hammond Morton from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Josh Gillespie led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Boone Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four matchups. As for Hammond Morton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Boone Grove and Hammond Morton are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Wolves will square off against Hanover Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Boone Grove will need to watch out since Hanover Central have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches. As for Hammond Morton, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hammond Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
