Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Catholic). They enjoyed a cozy 35-18 win over the Patterson Tigers on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Central Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayden McHenry, who threw for 96 yards and three TDs. Carter Meeks helped McHenry out on the ground, rushing for 65 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one score.

Central Catholic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Patterson lost, don't look at Dasen Pettis. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and one TD.

The victory made it two in a row for Central Catholic and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Patterson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Catholic will face off against Manteca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes' defense has only allowed 8.8 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Patterson, they will take on East Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
