Basketball Recap: Seaforth Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Noah Lewis and Declan Lindquist

If Seaforth was feeling good fresh off their 71-40 takedown of North Moore last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seaforth Hawks lost to the Southeast Alamance Stallions at home by a 60-46 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Stallions are ranked 116th).

Seaforth's loss came despite strong showings from Declan Lindquist and Noah Lewis. Lindquist posted 16 points, while Lewis earned 13 points. Another player making a difference was Patrick Miller, who had six points and five rebounds.

Southeast Alamance got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cardell West out in front who scored eight points and three steals. West is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Yellock, who put up ten points.

Seaforth now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Southeast Alamance, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Seaforth will venture away from home to face off against Jordan-Matthews at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaforth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Southeast Alamance, they will welcome Graham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Alamance is facing Graham at the right time seeing as Graham is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
